How to Become a Sadness to Joy Contributor

At Sadness to Joy Ministries, we are well aware we do not have a corner on the market when it comes to overcoming depression and finding joy.  Many of you have personal experience and have great things to add to the conversation. We’d like to hear what you have to say. Therefore, it is our goal to host at least one guest post every quarter. So, let’s start by explaining  how you can share your expertise with our readers.

Here are a few of the topics that would best fit on Sadness to Joy:

  • Overcoming Worry, Anxiety, Fear, or Depression
  • Personal Testimonies of Overcoming Adversity
  • Finding Joy in Life
  • Gratitude
  • Managing Stress
  • Managing Emotions
  • Self-Care Tips
  • Bible Study /Devotional on Overcoming Worry, Anxiety, Fear, or Depression

Here are some tips to keep in mind when submitting your guest blog post:

  • Research: Head over to the homepage and check out the first few blogs to get a better understanding of what kind of blog posts we publish.
  • Post Size and  Quality: Post submissions should be between 500-700 words. They should include appropriate subheadings and bulleted/numbered lists to help flow and readability. Please include several tips for practical application of the topic. Write an original piece focused specifically on adding value for the Sadness to Joy Ministries reader.
  • Author Stats:  Include a brief (3-5 sentences) author bio, website and/or social media link, and author photo.
  • Site Link & Promotion: The goal of Sadness to Joy Ministries is to reach as many people as possible with the help they may need to overcome anxiety and depression.  We feel certain most bloggers feel the same way. With that shared goal in mind, you may share your website/social media link at the end of your post. However, all outside links must lead directly to a site which also focuses on anxiety and depression. Posts linking to sites not focused on these topics will not be accepted.
  • Copyright: We respect individual rights to original works whether written or artistic. Any submission of copyrighted work which is not your own will result in an immediate removal of all work submitted and ban from future submissions. Also, by submitting a post to Sadness to Joy Ministries, you agree to grant us copyright ownership of the post. You may not submit the same work to other sites without written permission. Contact us here for permission.

Here’s how to submit your guest blog post:

If you agree to the guidelines outlined above, submit your article and supporting documents here.

You will be notified within 2-3 days of the Guest Post Submission deadline regarding acceptance of your submission and any additional action steps required.

I look forward to reading more about your story. The submission deadline for the New Year’s slot is Dec 27th, but feel free to submit something prior to Christmas if that fits your schedule better. I’m sure everyone else is just as busy as I am this time of year. Just indicate you would like it to be considered for the New Year’s Week slot.
