Description

Here’s what you’ll find each day and my recommendations for how to use each of them:

Today’s Scripture – I’ve chosen a scripture for each day which I believe sums up the focus area and is easy to remember. Read it first thing in the morning, and either take this guide with you, transfer it to a 3 x 5 card, or take a picture of it with your phone so that you can return to it throughout the day. At night, before bed, return to the verse again. Do you see it differently after focusing on it for the day?

Today’s Focus – I’ve chosen a different area on which to focus each day. I chose them because I believe, in general, we take them for granted, when in reality, they could be taken away at any moment. Spend some time reflecting on the focus area and how you relate to it before proceeding.

Today’s Song – I’ve chosen a song for each day which I believe emphasizes the area on which we are focusing. Listen to it first thing in the morning. Most are less than five minutes. Focus on the message the song delivers and how it supports the Gratitude Focus for the day.

Today’s Prayer – Here’s where you will make it personal. I’ve given you a sentence starter for a personal prayer to get your brain going. Think about it for a few minutes, and then write a personal prayer addressing your own needs in the focus area for the day.  Do this first thing in the morning. Ask God for help to keep your mind focused on the blessing found in that day’s focus. At night, before bed, review your prayer again. Thank God for his help during the day and reflect on how you can continue to be grateful in this area moving forward.
